METHOD FOR SIMULATING GESTATIONAL DIABETES IN VISTAR RATS FOR STUDYING THE EFFECT OF DIABETES ON THE GENERATION

The proposed method for simulating gestational diabetes in Vistar rats for studying the effect of diabetes on the generation consists in intraperitoneally administering, to the experimental rats, streptosotocyne within 15 days from the start of the animal pregnancy, 20 % glucose solution within one day and 10 % glucose solution within two days fromthe administration of the streptosotocyne. To study the effect of diabetes, the rats are selected in which hyperglycemia at a level of 8 mmol/l and more develops after the administration of the streptosotocyne.
