The invention relates to the non ferrous metallurgy and concerns preparation of the high-strength cast-iron with globular graphite. A method provides the introduction of grafitizing modifier into the cast-iron before discharging the melt from the furnace. The mass of grafitizing modifier is of 0.7-0.8 of the mass of magnesium-containing modifier which is placed on the bottom of the ladle. The percent elongation of the obtained cast-iron at the breaking test is of no less than 10 %, the strength is no less than 450 MPa.
