METHOD FOR CONSERVATIVE TREATMENT OF CANCER PATIENTS WITH METASTATIC EXUDATIVE PLEURITIS

The invention relates to the oncology, namely to the method for the conservative treatment of cancer patients with metastatic exudative pleuritis. The method provides for installation of upper and lower drainage under the local anesthesia followed by the administration of 1400-1800 mL of physiologic saline into the pleural cavity. Two sessions of the intrapleural perfusion chemohyperthermia are performed. At the same time, the chemotherapeutic drugs prescribed due to the principal disease are administered into the circulation. After the last session of the intrapleural perfusion chemohyperthermia, the rest of the fluid is removed from the pleural cavity and the drainages.
