An intrafalopian contraceptive device comprising: an elastic structure constrained in a straight configuration with a core wire (50) extending within the elastic structure, the elastic structure including a lumen crossing region (24) having an external surface helical; the elastic structure being adapted for its introduction transcervically within a target region of a fallopian tube; the core wire (50) being able to withdraw from the elastic structure in order to mechanically anchor the elastic structure within the fallopian tube, at least a portion of the elastic structure adopting an enlarged secondary shape, which is larger in cross-section than the fallopian tube; and the core wire (50) being able to transmit the twisting moment to the elastic structure in order to anchor the elastic structure in the tubular wall.
