Use of prey organisms that have in their total lipid content a DHA content of at least 12% by weight and that provide HUFA n-3 that include fatty acids 18: 3, 18: 4, 20: 4 and 22: 5, the organisms comprising in the range of 5-35% by weight of phospholipids of the total lipid content and having a total lipid content of at least 20% by weight based on dry weight, to manufacture a composition for breeding of an aquatic species by feeding the aquatic species during at least part of the larval and / or postlarvaria phase with said composition of prey organisms.
