The method involves producing a cleaning solution and a cleaning substrate in separate containers. A washing cyclical process is conducted between phases. A cleaning bath is driven through a soiled substrate, which is arranged as a filler in a column. Resulting washing liquid is returned to cleaning solution containers. Amount of dirt remaining in the washing bath is measured. The cleaning substrate is arranged in a form of small sized spherical shape, cylindrical shape, toroidal shape, tubular shape or prismatic shape. An independent claim is also included for a device for evaluating efficacy and dispersant detersive surfactants and detergency builders in detergent formulations for hard surfaces.
