The modification of carbon silk screen printed electrodes for use as sensors consists of application of a constant oxidation potential in an acid medium to increase the electrode's surface adsorption capacity. Then streptavidin is adsorbed on the surface at a constant below-ambient temperature, for use in e.g. immune sensors and gene sensors.
