A self-contained sheet for forming an image comprising a support, a firstlayer of microcapsules containing a colorprecursor of the electron donating type in a carrier liquid on the surface ofthe support, a layer of microspheres overlying themicrocapsule layer, and a developer material present in at least one of themicrocapsule layer or microsphere layer, wherein the developermaterial can react with the color precursor to form a visible image when thecolor precursor is released from the mircrocapsules.
