COMPUTER BASED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GATHERING AND PROCESSING SCIENTIFIC PROJECT DATA

An apparatus and method for automating credit-eligibility determination (suchas tax credits) ofscientific or research projects are provided. The apparatus includes a generalpurpose computingdevice that is operable to determine a set of weightings to be applied toresponses that arereceived for a predefined set of questions. The determination is made, inpart, by having theapparatus compare the responses to a project already known to be eligible forscientific orresearch credits. Once the weightings are determined, a final questionnaire isgenerated that hasthe weightings associated with corresponding questions. The finalquestionnaire can be used toassess credit-eligibility of future scientific or research projects.
