An extensible architecture for entrusted medium (e.g., wireless) deviceconfiguration via trusted medium. The architecture can be employed toassociate adevice that utilizes an entrusted medium (e.g., wireless connection).Association iseffected using a trusted medium, for example, a wired connection.The architecture can facilitate configuration of the device to communicate(e.g.,securely) via an entrusted medium (e.g., wireless connection). Configurationof thedevice can be based, at least in part, upon information exchanged via atrusted medium(e.g., wired connection). The device can send an association request to adriver andreceives an association response from the driver. If the association issuccessful, theassociation response can include, for example, configuration information(e.g., encryptionkey) to enable the device to communicate (e.g., securely) via the entrustedmedium. Ifthe association is unsuccessful, the association response can include, forexample, errorinformation.
