Continued efforts in the design and manufacturing phases of this contract have resulted in the following activity during this period:n1. Evaluation of argon gas as an ambient atmosphere for growing silicon single crystals.n2. Evaluation of high purity raw siliconn3. Submission of experimental samples of the 27, 68 and 100 volt reference diodes on the 1 watt case as required under the revised contract.n4. Effort on the development and manufacture of experimental samples of the 4.7 and 6.2 volt reference diodes.n5. Prove in of cold welding equipment.n6. Design and construction of additional tooling for mechanization.n7. Ascertaining increased knowledge concerning semiconductor material and its preparation.
