A battery charge/discharge control circuit (20) controlling discharge of a plurality of batteries connected in series comprises: battery voltage detecting circuits (Ex, Trx, T1, D1, Tr1, and the like) for detecting voltages equal to individual terminal voltages of the plurality of batteries, respectively; battery terminal voltage holding circuits (T1, D2, C1, and the like) for holding individual terminal voltages of the plurality of batteries; battery average terminal voltage holding circuits (T1, D2, Cx, and the like) for holding the average value of individual terminal voltages of the plurality of batteries; a comparator (21) for comparingthe output from the battery terminal voltage holding circuits (T1, D2, C1, and the like) to the output from the battery average terminal voltage holding circuits (T1, D2, Cx, and the like); and shunt circuits (LED2, Tr1, R1, and the like) through which the plurality of batteries shunt a part of current discharged from individual batteries by using the output from the comparator (21).
