The inventive armchair is provided with means for physical stretching of arms which comprises pneumatic loading devices and an effort control system. The armrests of said armchair are embodied in such a way that they are hollow. Each means for physical stretching of the arms is embodied in the form of an autonomous module which is arranged in the armrest and provided with a front and rear elements for fixing to the armchair, wherein each fixing element has two degrees of freedom enabling the autonomous module to be rotatable about two mutually perpendicular axes and fixable in the neutral and operating position thereof. Said invention makes it possible to develop an armchair easily transformable into a device for physical exercises carried out in a sitting position which, however, ensures a sufficiently large range of arm movements such as press, thrust, stroke, arm-pumping exercise etc.
