The present invention relates to a method for identifying the ginseng species by discriminating specific gene of ginseng according to pyrosequencing method using by species-specific sequencing primer for ginseng designed by the present inventors, and the kit using thereby which can identify the species of ginsengs concretely and rapidly. Therefore, those method and the kit using by the species-specific sequencing primer for ginseng can be useful in discriminating required ginseng species, providing accurate ginseng material, controlling the quality of ginseng products and used as fundamental material to discriminate other natural resources.
