There are provided a node device, a common information update method, a common information storage method, a common information update processing program, a common information storage processing program, and others capable of always and effectively acquiring common information in the latest state without providing a management server. The node device is used in an information distribution system having a plurality of node devices connected to one another via a network. The node device includes common information storage means for storing first common information to be used commonly in the plurality of node devices, identifier generation means for generating an identifier uniquely corresponding to the first common information, node device specification means for specifying the node device as a management source of the first common information according to the generated first identifier, update information means for acquiring update information corresponding to the first common information from the specified node device, and common information update means for updating the first common information stored in the common information storage means into second common information according to the acquired update information.
