The present invention relates to the use of at least one compound of the N-acylaminoamide family, in a composition containing a physiologically acceptable medium, as agent intended to protect she skin and/or its superficial body growths against the deteriorations of the epidermis linked to apoptotic processes amplified under stress conditions and/or, to a stress-induced decrease in immune defences. In particular, the said compound is intended to prevent and/or reduce the formation of sunburn cells in the epidermis and the formation of photoinduced skin tumours. In particular, the compound is chosen from {2-[acetyl-(3-trifluoromethylphenyl)amino]-3-methyl-butyrylamino}acetic acid and ethyl {2-[acetyl-(3-trifluoromethylphenyl)amino]-3-methylbutyrylamino}-acetate.
