The digital word transmission system evaluates the quantity of digital words to transmit. One estimates from the quantity of transmission data the duration for a local network for several successive times of the day taking account of geographic time offsets. An estimated transmission time is selected amongst those available to transmit the quantity of digital words during a time plane.
