The device is assembled of a ball element (2) rotated in a housing (1) by using a lever (4) in order to open or close a duct in particular for the transport of chemical substances. The pipe sections (7, 9) joined to the housing (1) with flanges (6, 8) and connecting the tap to the main ducts are accommodated in outer pipe sections (17, 18), avoiding the transported substance to cool down or be heated below or above the required temperature when passing the tap.
