The ball valve has a housing (1) with 2 half shells (2,3) providing a spherical ball seat enclosing the valve ball (4). This has a bore into which the pointed end of the sampling piston (6) is fitted, to allow the valve ball to be rotated between a closed and open position. The open position of the valve is defined by a stop (8), the bore and the valve ball aligned with an opening (10) in the valve housing in the open position. The valve ball is pref. spring-biassed into the closed position. USE - For extracting sample from liq. container or pipeline.
