Reading of information stored in each of RFID tags (101-1010) is controlled, and based on position information relating to the RFID tags (101-1010) whose information is read, a position where the RFID tags (101-1010) whose information is read are gathered is judged. Based on the information relating to the position, the RFID tags (103-1010) storing information to be used are extracted. Thus, unnecessary information of the RFID tags (101, 102) read by reflection and wraparound phenomenon of communication radio waves is eliminated and a process of reading necessary information from the RFID tags (103-1010) is efficiently performed.
