The hydropneumatic spring element for especially tracked vehicles has a first cylinder (1) with a hydraulic damping component (6), a first section (4) of an oil chamber and a part of an oil supply chamber (7). A second section (4') of the oil chamber, a separating piston (5) and gas chamber (3) are located in a second cylinder (1') located parallel to the first. The first cylinder is connected to the second via a connecting element (10) with a hydraulic connection (10.1) between the first and second sections of the oil chamber. A third cylinder (2) is telescopically guided in the first cylinder and includes the remaining part of the oil supply chamber. An independent claim is included for a wheel suspension on a tracked vehicle including the aforesaid hydropneumatic spring element.
