Seleniferous composition for producing antioxidase in vivo

Seleniferous composition is provided which comprises Se-methylseleno-cysteine (MeSeCys: SeCH₃-CH₂-CHNH₂-COOH) or derivative thereof. When human or animal body ingests the seleniferous composition, their living body naturally produces enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and glutathione-S-transferase (GST) for decomposing active oxygen to positively prevent and treat cancer.
