Menu entries in drop-down menus of graphical user interfaces

The device has a menu bar comprising a number of menu points, where a drop-down menu (5) is assigned to each of the menu points. The drop-down menu contains a number of sub menu functions (9). A context-related drop-down menu is provided with a number of sub menu functions, where change in state and mark describing a unique, significant character of menu items is obtained in the drop-down menu or in a sub-menu at each point of time. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting and displaying information, data, and input units on a graphical user interface e.g. screen.
