PURPOSE: A water heater using a heat exchanger with spiral blade pipes is provided to cut down expenses and reduce fuel consumption by supplying hot water with exchanging heat by circulating waste heat. CONSTITUTION: A water passage(12) is formed between inner and outer walls of a water jacket(11), and a central shaft pipe(18) is formed in the center of the water jacket. A passage and an internal water passage are formed in the hollows of the water jacket and the central shaft pipe and communicated with a lower waste heat inlet(14) and an upper waste heat outlet(15). Plural blade pipes(20) are spirally protruded outside the internal water passage of the central shaft pipe, and communicated with the internal passage of the water jacket to a lower cool water inflow passage(16) and an upper hot water discharge passage(17). The passage of the water jacket is divided into an internal circulation passage and an external circulation passage by flues. A first blade pipe is protruded in the internal circulation passage and communicated with the internal water passage of the central shaft pipe. A second blade pipe is protruded in the external circulation passage and communicated with the internal passage of the flue. Thus, hot water is supplied efficiently with increasing flow time of waste heat and inflow of cool water.
