PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing the body of portable gas container is provided to prevent explosion of the container due to pressure increase of the container by securing elongation of the container body and minimize safety accident by preventing generation of fragments of the container even when the container is exploded. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing the body of portable gas container comprising a nozzle member, a container body to an upper part of which the nozzle member is connected, and a lower cap for closing a lower part of the container body, the method comprises deep drawing processes (S1,S2,S3) performed at least two or more times; an annealing process (S10) performed after the deep drawing processes to obtain a certain elongation or more; and deep drawing processes (S4,S5) performed again for several times after the annealing process to secure safety for explosion of the container by securing a certain elongation or more of the container body, wherein the annealing process is performed after performing the deep drawing processes three or more times, wherein the deep drawing processes performed after the annealing are performed at least two or more times, and wherein the method further comprises a press forming process (S6) for finishing forming after the deep drawing processes.
