The track-laying vehicle comprises a plurality of wheels (12a,12b,12c,12d) upon which a circulating chain is arranged (14), wherein at least one of the wheels (12a,12b,12c,12d) is springingly connected to a running gear carrier (18) by means of hydrosprings (1) with a gas chamber (1h), wherein the gas chamber (1h) is fluidically connected to a dosing device (2) via a control valve (4), comprising a sensor (6,7) for determining the value of gas inside the gas chamber (1h) such as temperature and/or pressure, also comprising a control device (3), said control device (3) being embodied in such a way that it captures the measuring value of the sensor (6,7) and, on the basis of said measuring value, controls the dosing device (2) and the control valve (4) in such a way that a compensating volume (Vk) can be fed to/ or discharged from the gas chamber (1h) in order to influence the tension of the chain (14).
