A base station (30) sends digital broadcast signal-related transmission information modulated under an OFDM modulation system to a receiving device (10D) in a second frequency band different from the frequency band of a digital broadcast signal, and the receiving device (10D) stores received transmission information in a storing unit (108) prior to receiving a digital broadcast signal. In this way, the receiving device (10D) can instantly set transmission parameters optimum for the reception of a digital broadcast signal according to a reception environment, thereby making possible a quick tuning and demodulating of a digital broadcast signal.
