Provided is a broad-band reflection type integral high-brightness polarizer, which has a broad range of wavelengths of light reflected by cholesteric liquid crystal films forming the polarizer to cover the visible light region even with a small number of films, and improves the view angle characteristics of an LCD. The broad-band reflection type integral high-brightness polarizer(10) comprises: (a) a broad-band reflection type polarizer comprising (i) a stacked cholesteric liquid crystal film having a plurality of cholesteric liquid crystal films(11) having a different selective reflection wavelength range by varying the mixing ratio between a curable nematic liquid crystal compound and a curable chiral compound, and (ii) a 1/4 lamda phase shift film(13) stacked on one surface of the cholesteric liquid crystal film; and (b) a light dispersion film(15) having an irregular surface so as to disperse the incident light in a random direction and stacked on one surface of the broad-band reflection type polarizer.
