PURPOSE: A protocol test apparatus, a testing method thereof, and a computer-readable recording medium read by a computer are provided to copy or correct a sample script by providing the sample script as an XML document. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(110) stores XML documents for sample scripts to test a server system using a predetermined protocol and defines forms of the XML documents. A script composition unit(120) provides XML environment based on the XML document for the selected sample script and composes the script by recording properties of inputted parameters of the XML document to the corresponding XML document when a user selects the sample script. A message generation unit(130) determines the script on the basis of an XML DTD according to the user's test request and generates a message for testing a server system by using the script.
