The present invention relates to a road around the facilities survey method using a vehicle equipped with a GPS receiver and laser instruments and aerial photos will. According to the present invention, obtaining an initial position coordinates of the vehicle via the GPS receiver, while driving the vehicle along a road and outputs the driving direction and at right angles to the laser light. The laser light is reflected by the vehicle and the first point of the facility when it reaches the first position detected in the laser measuring instrument, to obtain the first location coordinates of the vehicle via the GPS receiver. Calculating a first distance of the facilities with the arrival time of the laser light, and calculates the running azimuth of the vehicle from the initial location coordinates and the first coordinates of the vehicle position. In addition, the first location coordinates of the vehicle, the running azimuth, calculates a first coordinate point of a facility away from the facility. Second position coordinates of the vehicle in the same way, a second distance of the facility, each calculated to the second point of coordinates of the facility. Then the coordinates of the two points, and extracts facilities from aerial photography, to obtain a plane image of the facilities. The method can be applied very easily to acquire the digital terrain data, such as facility and localized around the road, using a laser to achieve high accuracy of the straightness and, using a GPS receiver to determine the laser instrument difficult facilities it is possible to increase the accuracy and use of digital terrain data acquired with various planes of image information.
