The present invention relates to a method for reducing peak-to-average power ratio using a variable code set in a multi-carrier CDMA system.;In the multi-carrier CDMA system of the present invention, a method for reducing peak-to-average power ratio using a variable code set includes: a first step of converting a user's serial complex data symbol into a parallel data symbol; A second step of spreading the converted parallel data symbols by a first spreading code among a variable code set having at least two spreading codes per user; Converting the sum of the spread data into parallel data symbols; A fourth step of inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) on the converted parallel data symbols; When the PAPR of the IFFT-converted output signal is exceeded by comparing with a predetermined PAPR threshold, the output signal is fed back to the second stage through a feedback circuit, and the second spreading code is different from the first spreading code of the variable code set. And a fifth step of spreading with a second spreading code.
