A suede-like warp knit with excellent appearance and touch, and a process of preparing the same

PURPOSE: Suede type warp knit is characterized by containing short piles, having high density of piles, containing water soluble polyurethane resin and having excellent appearance, touch and repulsive elasticity. A manufacturing method thereof has excellent processability. The suede type warp knit is useful for clothes for women, a sofa and industrial material. CONSTITUTION: Suede type warp knit comprises a surface manufactured out of superfine yarn having 0.001-0.05 denier of mono fineness and a back manufactured out of polyester multifilament or spandex elastic yarn having 1-3denier of mono fineness. Piles formed out of the polyester superfine fiber are planted on the surface. Water soluble polyurethane resin is infiltrated into the warp knit. The suede type warp knit is obtained by the steps of: preparing composite fiber comprised of fiber forming ingredient and eluting ingredient as surface grey yarn; preparing the polyester multifilament or the spandex elastic yarn as back grey yarn; knitting warp knit out of the grey yarns on a two-bars warp knitting machine; napping primarily the warp knit grey to shrink the grey on over 35% in a width direction; shearing and heat-setting the shrunk warp knit; treating the warp knit with an alkali aqueous solution to remove the eluting ingredient of the composite fiber; infiltrating the polyurethane resin into the warp knit; drying and dyeing the warp knit to shrink the warp knit on over 40% in the width direction; napping secondarily the warp knit; and then sanding and brushing the warp knit.
