This invention relates to a column type heating device for cleaning apparatus and the method for preventing protrusion of column type heater. The column type heating device for cleaning apparatus includes a column heater which generates heat by using electric energy, a tube housing for using to prevent the exposure of the column heater. There is at least one or two air exhaust holes equipped between the column heater and the tube housing. These air exhaust hole is used to eliminate the air pressure produced by residual humidity in between the column heater and the tube housing when vaporized so as to prevent the protrusion of the column type heater, and, as a consequence, the problem of low heat transfer rate due to the protrusion of the heater can be prevented.
