Odor Sensor Using Olfactory Receptor Protein Expressed in Transformed Cells

PURPOSE: An odor sensor using an olfactory receptor protein expressed in transformed cells and a preparation method thereof are provided, which odor sensor of olfactory receptor protein has improved substrate specificity than that of semiconductor or polymer. CONSTITUTION: The odor sensor in which the olfactory receptor protein expressed in a transformed microorganism with a gene encoding the olfactory receptor protein, or the cell wall fractions of microorganism containing the olfactory receptor protein or microorganism itself is attached to the quartz crystal of a quartz crystal microbalance is provided, wherein the microorganism is a bacterium or an animal cell line. The method for preparing the odor sensor using an olfactory receptor protein expressed in transformed cells comprises attaching the olfactory receptor protein expressed in a transformed microorganism with a gene encoding the olfactory receptor protein, or the cell wall fractions of microorganism containing the olfactory receptor protein or microorganism itself to the quartz crystal of a quartz crystal microbalance.
