PURPOSE: A bill discounted area report system in a mobile communication system is provided to inform a mobile communication subscriber located in a specific area of a message, which presents whether a discount rate is applied in the specific area. Therefore, the mobile communication subscriber is directly capable of recognizing a discount or a premium area. CONSTITUTION: A service subscriber processor(100) receives registration/cancellation information and service area information of a bill discounted area report service on the Internet or from a customer center. The service subscriber processor(100) sets up the bill discounted area report service, and outputs a message required by a user. An SMS(Short Message Service) center(200) changes the message according to a communication standard, and outputs the message. An exchange(300) receives the message to change the message to a format which a terminal(400) is capable of interpreting, and outputs the changed message. The terminal(400) interprets the message, and updates a stored base station information list, then informs the user whether a bill discounted area is applied, on the basis of the interpreted message.
