A soundproof wall and a construction method thereof are provided to reduce noise by repeatedly transmitting and reflecting sound with a protruded sound absorbing plate, a sound absorbing material and an air space, to decrease diffraction noise by using resonance, and to increase rigidity by forming a polygonal section. A soundproof wall(S) includes a base part(10) formed by pouring and curing concrete(12) in a ground, a support part having plural base plates fixed on the base part with anchor bolts, a prop part formed by assembling an H-beam with the base plate, a soundproof panel part(40) formed by stacking plural soundproof panels with sound absorbing holes between the H-beams by spring clips, a bracket(50) combined with an upper part of the H-beam by welding and provided with a T-shaped steel plate(52), and a noise damping unit(60) having a polygonal steel plate(62) combined with the steel plate of the bracket to cover an upper part of the soundproof panel part. A finishing material(70) is combined with the H-beam, and provided with a semicircular steel plate(72) surrounding the H-beam. Plural sound absorbing holes are formed in the steel plate.
