Provided is a method of manufacturing a buddhist picture by using varnishing and plating processes, thereby preventing the buddhist picture from being peeled of gold foil and discolored of colors. The method comprises the steps of: drawing a rough sketch which becomes a draft of a buddhist picture on a draft sheet; attaching a special paper on the draft sheet; attaching a fabric on the draft of the buddhist picture; filling up holes of the fabric by wiping glue to the fabric; raising mounds according to a pattern and boundary of the rough sketch shown on the fabric in which the glue is wiped thereon; coloring in the fabric according to the rough sketch; varnishing the contours with lacquer; and plating the mound with gold.
