FLOW CONTROL DEVICE BY USING FIN ON AFT-BODY OF SHIP HAVING OPEN SHAFT

An apparatus for controlling flow of an open shaft of ship using fins is provided to prevent the increase of the hull floating pressure caused by the unnecessary cavitation of the propeller by using flow control fins installed around the support post. An apparatus for controlling flow of an open shaft ship using fins comprises a propulsion shaft(2) and a support post(3) exposed to the lower surface of a ship(1); and plural flow control fins(4) mounted at the hull and separated with a predetermined interval along the streamline of the hull around the support post. The installation position of the inner fin of the plural flow control fins is 0.3~0.4 times longer than the whole length from the mid ship and 0.15~0.25 times longer than the hull width from the left and right mid ship surface.
