FIELD: metallurgy; methods of production of the chromium-containing and chromium-nickel-containing high-quality stainless steels.;SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of metallurgy, particular, to the method of production of the stainless steels, in particular, to production of chromium-containing and nickel-containing high-quality steels. The method provides for production of the stainless steels in the smelting furnace having one metallurgical chamber, or in the smelting furnace having at least two metallurgical chambers. At that in the both chambers by turns conduct the process of the electric-arc melting and the process of the blasting. At that the slag with the high share of chromium is smelted on the first stage of the treatment together with the fed furnace charge. At that the slag during the process of smelting-down is reduced by silicon and carbon at the favorable thermodynamic conditions of the electric arc. After the melt reaches the temperature of at least 1490C the slag is removed. Then they conduct a purging and at that carbon content in the melt decreases to the value less than 0.9 %. At the temperature of tapping - 1620 up to 1720C the melt of the metal is drained. At that the non-reduced during the purging process slag containing a high share of chromium is left in the working volume. The technical result: the invention realization allows to increase efficiency and profitability of the stainless steels production method.;EFFECT: the invention ensures an increased efficiency and profitability of the stainless steels production method.;18 cl, 1 dwg
