FIELD: measurement technology; comprehensive inspection of nuclear reactor control and protection system components including control rods.;SUBSTANCE: proposed system has four television cameras, each mechanically coupled through its respective vertical and horizontal positioning unit with relevant rotary devices rigidly fixed on hinged frame. The latter mounts lights. Control rod is free to move vertically within guide funnel that has funnel proper coaxially secured on guide-tube section through four turnbuckles spaced 90 deg. apart to second guide-tube section so that light gap is formed between guide-tube sections; funnel proper, guide-tube sections , and one of turnbuckles are split vertically. Seating floor is organized on guide funnel end for mounting water accumulation system mounted through sealed joint on head of reactor control and protection system. Camera rotary devices and lights are electrically connected to control systems of single-coordinate rotary devices, focus and image scale control system of video cameras, and light flux control system of lights, respectively. Output of focus and image scale control system is connected to system unit of personal computer coupled with video monitor input.;EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities.;1 cl, 3 dwg
