FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: method involves setting trocars via which subcutaneous emphysema is created. Sternal periosteum is dissected under video control and T-shaped sternotomy is carried out. Trocars are set on one of chest sides along posteroaxillary line in V and VI intercostals spaces and pneumothorax is created and IV, V, VI and VII ribs are visualized from thoracic cavity side. All of them are notched to 2/3 of their cartilage layer thickness. Then the pneumothorax is eliminated. Pneumothorax is created in the same way and IV, V, VI and VII ribs are notched to 2/3 of their cartilage layer thickness from the other internal side of the thoracic cavity. Incisions are made on lateral thoracic cavity surface for retrosternally arranging and fixing a plate and making single-stage sternum elevation.;EFFECT: provided stable sternocostal complex fixation; improved cosmetic effect; accelerated immobilization process.;5 dwg
