Extramedullary miniplates FOR TREATMENT OF DAMAGES MANDIBLE

Extramedullary miniplates for treatment of injuries of the lower jaw. Can be used for osteosynthesis, in particular osteo-plastic surgery with uncomplicated lesions mandible, preferably less traumatic intraoral access. Extramedullary miniplates is designed as a bracket, consisting of a portion of plate with holes for intraosteal screws and rigidly connected with it intraosseous cylindrical elements disposed on both sides thereof at right angles. Application extramedullary miniplates shaped as brackets, increases its strength, the combination of a solid plate with holes for the presence of intraosseous screws can reliably fix and secure several screws fragments. This fixation of bone fragments can evenly distribute the load on all the fixing screws and prevent bone resorption around them. This eliminates micromotion between the bone fragments and enables a long-term use miniplates throughout the desired duration of treatment
