Plastic toys and molded parts for toys, especially dolls and toys for toddlers or babies which may be put in the mouth, consist at least partly of plasticizer-free plastic, preferably polyurethane with residual elastic properties in the hardened state. Independent claims are also included for (a) base material for these toys with two reactive liquid components comprising (i) polyol with a hydroxyl functionality of more than 2, plus additives to give a viscosity of 300-3000 mPa.s and (ii) an isocyanate or prepolymer based on 4,4'-diphenylmethanedi-isocyanate, with reactive NCO groups and a functionality of 2 or more; and (b) a process for the production of these toys by making up two thermally-reactive liquid components which can undergo polyaddition to form a high-molecular weight material, mixing the components without forming bubbles and then placing the mixture in a mould cavity coated with a release agent, centrifuging the mixture by multiaxial rotation and heating it so that the low- or medium-molecular weight components react to a monomer-free polyurethane with adjustable elasticity, then demolding and further processing by known methods.
