A battery element (6) having anode plate (3), cathode plate (4) and an intermediate separator (5) is wound and accommodated in a battery jar (2). Concave portion (8) is fixed on the top protruding surface (7) of the wound plates, and electroconductive connection tabs (9,16) are fixed on concave portion and bottom surface (15) by ultrasonic welding. An independent claim is also included for the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery manufacturing method.
