Indirect processing of print jobs involves storing job in first device, providing pointer to printer informing it that job is waiting to be processed and identifying job stored in first device
The method involves storing the print job in a first device and providing a pointer to a printer (110), whereby the pointer informs the printer that the printing job is waiting to be processed and identifies the print job stored in the first device. The printer recovers the print job using the pointer. The first device is a computer workstation (106,108) that has generated the print job. Independent claims are also included for the following: a computer-legible memory for storing a computer program and a device with a memory and a computer.
