The supercharger has slide bearings (28) arranged at the radial inner surface of an adjustment ring (26). The adjustment ring is provided in a blade ring carrier (10). Each slide bearing has a lateral guide disk (32) with a protrusion (30) in contact to a bearing housing (11). The bearing housing has an axial guide surface (38) for guiding the slide bearings when the blade ring carrier turns. The slide bearings are arranged in circumferential direction at the inner surface of the adjustment ring. Tilting guide vanes (12) are arranged at the other side of the blade ring carrier. Adjustment levers are provided for adjusting the angle position of the guide vanes relative to the turning movement of the blade ring carrier.
