The method involves controlling a print head (6) by an electronic controller (7), and measuring time duration by a sensor device. A sensor signal corresponding to the time period is found for synchronizing printing speed of the print head for labeling the corresponding products. A clock frequency of a clock signal is controlled with the sensor signal, where the clock signal effects the printing operation of the print head. An independent claim is also included for a device for automatic labeling of products moving in a direction.
