The pump has a hydraulic pump unit (9) with a housing (2) to which an electric motor (1) is attached. A rotary shaft seal (8) is arranged for sealing brake fluid to the shaft of the motor. A piston (6) is coupled to the shaft of the motor. A converting mechanism transforms the rotary motion of the shaft into linear motion of the piston.
