The method involves determining a text sample in machine readable documents (200) by text recognition during reproduction of different pages of PDF catalogues. The text sample is acquired in the form of a regular hard copy e.g. article numbers or product codes. The determined text sample is provided with a link or reference i.e. address that is directed to an application and/ or a hyperlink that is directed to an internet page. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a device for processing machine readable documents (B) a application of a method of processing machine readable documents (C) a computer program product with program components for performing a method of processing machine readable documents.
