Dyslexia is a learning disorder which causes difficulty in learning with respect to reading. Dyslexic people require different font customization for better reading. The existing literature shows that portable document format (PDF) is still not sufficiently accessible to many people with dyslexia and affect their reading. The problem is how pdf reading can be enhanced in terms of usability for dyslexia people. This paper intends to address the text customization needs of people with dyslexia. It investigates the characteristics of text customization that users need to do (e.g. size, color, spacing, and more) for reading any PDF documents. This paper provides a frame work that aims to evaluate the readability of PDF interface for dyslexic people. It is suggested that additional text customization functionality should be provided for better understanding and reading in PDF.
